Eli was the last of his group to be spoken for, a "plain" black appy, no white markings, in a breed where everyone wants spots. He came very close to being sent to auction, and slaughter, in Canada.
Marilie and Diane gave him a home, a safe place to land. They got him gentled, trained and turned him into an extra-ordinary horse. I knew just how loved and appreciated he was.6/24/2012 I happily opened an email from Marilie, only to find such sad news. It is good to know that this special horse had a great home, knew love and partnership with humans and got to have a great, although short, life. Many thanks to Marilie, Diane, Matt and all the other people in Eli's life.
