If only we could tell these horses how lucky they have been. This beautiful mare went through an auction in Canada, and would have gone for meat that night. She had a foal on her side (Diesel adopted in 2007). The Appaloosa rancher bought them hoping we could place them.
It took a long time to get them homes, along the way this girl got pregnant, accidentally. The Animali Farm took her in when she had nowhere else to go. One of our foster families kept her for a while.
Finally Alicia called, wanting to help. She adopted two pregnant mares, and has given them a good home. Both delivered beautiful buckskin fillies in 2007. Both are in training and doing well. Miracles do happen!
